Elam's in Raleigh, NC

This is where I went to first grade.  It was called Buggs Elementary school.  My Dad had given me a really tiny knife (maybe an inch long) that was a souvenier from the battleship North Carolina.  Anyways, one day I must have accidentally taken it to school and someone stole it from me.  Apparently they cut themselves with the knife.  I was called to the Principal's office where he asked various questions.  It wasn't until sometime later that I even knew what was going on.  One thing that always stuck with me was that the office had a glass window and all the kids good look in and see who was being interrogated.  I will never forget seeing all the faces pressed against the glass as I get interviewed about something I knew absolutely nothing about.
